Testicular Cancer

Testicular Cancer begins in the testicles, which are two golf ball-sized organs held in a sac of skin called the scrotum located under the penis. The testicles are part of the male reproductive system and responsible for producing male hormones and sperm.

Testicular Cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in males between the age of 15 and 35 in the United States.

Signs and Symptoms

Signs and symptoms that you may experience if you have Testicular Cancer may include:

  • A lump or swelling in the testicles

  • Feeling of heaviness in the scrotum

  • A dull ache in the scrotum

  • Aching or discomfort in the lower abdomen

  • Breast soreness

  • Early-onset puberty in boys

  • Back pain

  • Abdomen pain

  • Shortness of breath

Treatment

Treatment options will depend upon the stage and type of cancer. Treatment usually includes:

  • Surgery

  • Radiation Therapy

  • Chemotherapy
